Wellness & Mental Health - Part 5

It is important to remember that functioning in Survival Mode is abnormal, but has been necessary. Covid struggles are universal, meaning we are all in the same storm. However, amidst the pandemic, you may have discovered the small benefits of a pandemic within your personal life or work. Each person has an individual way of coping. If you haven’t found a coping style yet, don't worry, that is normal.

 

Social Isolation

Prioritize your emotional wellness by setting achievable and realistic goals. While the Pandemic may have set you back or pushed you completely off course, learn how to continue and succeed by identifying your strengths in a safe space.

Becoming aware of your mental health does not have to be hard work or distressing. There are signs and symptoms that you can be aware of for example, feeling overly stressed or not coping in ways you previously used to cope in. This does not mean you are abnormal or have undiagnosable issues.  

Most mental health issues are treatable. Reaching out for help when you need it most is normal and especially common considering we are all living amidst a pandemic.
